Officials investigate fire at Guilford County trailer park as case of arson

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Officials are investigating a fire that broke out overnight in Guilford County as a case of arson.

The fire started at a trailer park on the 4900 block of Estate Drive around 12:30 a.m.

When crews arrived on the scene, the community’s clubhouse and a truck nearby at McConnell Crossing were on fire.

Investigators said the mail room specifically appears to have been targeted.

There’s no word on who may have set the fire or why.

The investigation is ongoing.
