CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. — A Jonesville man was arrested on Sunday in connection with an alleged sexual assault that happened at a pool in Carteret County.

Adam Blaine Beavers, 21, of Jonesville, is charged with indecent liberties with a child, being intoxicated and disruptive and trespassing.

According to the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Goose Creek Campground Pool at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday after three different women — ages 14, 40 and 52 — all reported they were sexually assault by Beavers while swimming in the pool.

Security was called to the pool area but Beavers refused to get out.

Two off-duty police officers who were vacationing in the campground entered the pool and detained Beavers until Carteret County deputies arrived.

While the case was being investigated, Beavers had to be taken to Carteret General Hospital for medical reasons. After he was released from the hospital he was taken into custody.

Beavers was released from the Carteret County Jail after posting a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to have his first court appearance Monday.
