HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Police found a meth lab operation worth thousands of dollars inside a Deep River Point apartment unit Sunday.

Captain Mike Kirk with High Point Police said SBI agents confiscated approximately 11 ounces of unfinished meth oil inside the first floor apartment.

The street value, if finished, would be worth more than $30,000.

"This was not a one-pot cook, they had actually taken the time to set up more of a lab type environment," Kirk said .

Tenants inside the unit were asked to evacuate for nearly eight hours.

Kirk said the woman that lives in the unit is currently being questioned and charges will follow.

Spokespersons for Bell Partners Inc., owners of the complex, said correspondence to residents aren't usually sent until a full police report of the investigation is provided.
