Greensboro man shot and killed, suspect in custody

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 31-year-old man was shot and killed in Greensboro Sunday night.

At 9:35 p.m. police responded to 409 Lowdermilk St. in reference to a shooting.  Officers located a victim who was taken to a local hospital with serious injury.

The victim, Alex Michael Brown, of 409 Lowdermilk St.t Apt C, succumbed to his injuries as a result of being shot.  The incident was not a random act and appears to be a result of a dispute.

Follow-up investigations have lead to the arrest of Yves Almando Hairston, 38, of 402 Franklin Blvd., for first-degree murder.  Hairston turned himself into the Magistrate’s Office and will be held with no bond pending his first appearance.

The investigation is ongoing.
