WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 31-year-old Winston-Salem man was convicted Monday on charges that he sexually abused a 4-year-old boy and had pornographic pictures of the child.

Scott Ray Klein, of Cumbie Road, entered an Alford plea in Forsyth Superior court to four counts of first-degree sex offense, four counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and 12 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Judge Michael Duncan of Forsyth Superior Court sentenced Klein to 18 years and three months to 26 years and 11 months in prison.

Assistant District Attorney Kia Chavious said that Winston-Salem police received a report Nov. 3, 2014, after the boy told his mother about the abuse.
