GREENSBORO, N.C. — A month after her 108th birthday, Laura Grate put on white gloves and a navy blue feathered hat and went to the Old Guilford County Courthouse to be fussed over, according to The Greensboro News & Record.

There, on Thursday, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners invited her to the front of the room to wish the centenarian a belated birthday.
