WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – A restaurant in Winston-Salem has temporarily closed as it plans to move to a new location in the city’s downtown area.

The Winston-Salem Journal reported that Downtown Thai & Sushi is heading back to its original location at 271 W. Fourth St.

Owner Souphab Daoheang closed the restaurant earlier this week and said he hopes to reopen by late June.

The owner said he wants to reduce costs by moving to a smaller space. The proposed location has 44 seats, half of what the other location had.

The restaurant serves “the best and freshest Thai food, Sushi, and Vietnamese Pho in the region,” according to the business’ Facebook page.
