Several places in North Carolina made a recent list of the best cities in America for a “staycation,” including two in the Triad.

Financial website WalletHub.com recently published the list, putting Winston-Salem at No. 20 and Greensboro at No. 35.

Other North Carolina cities that made the list included Raleigh at No. 25, Durham at No. 54 and Charlotte at No. 74.

A staycation is generally defined as a “vacation” that is spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.

Wallethub complied the rankings by looking at factors including recreational activities, food and entertainment options.

Orlando took the No. 1 spot, followed by Atlanta, Cincinnati, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Boise, Idaho.
