Police investigate stabbing in Burlington that injured man

BURLINGTON, N.C. – Police are looking for a man in connection to a stabbing in Burlington that resulted in another man being injured.

The Burlington Police Department has obtained warrants for Adrian Tyrone Hurley, 19, of Burlington, for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

Patrol officers responded to the incident at 11 p.m. Friday at a boarding house at 1012 S. Main St., according to authorities.

The 49-year-old male victim had been stabbed in the back and physically assaulted. Emergency workers took him to Moses Cone with non-life-threatening injuries.

The motive of the assault is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can call Burlington police at (336) 229-3503.
