ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Franklin Graham is urging people to boycott Wells Fargo because they featured an apparent lesbian couple in an ad.
The well-known North Carolina evangelist recently posted on Facebook his outrage about the bank and how to “fight the tide of moral decay.”
“But it has dawned on me that we don’t have to do business with them,” he wrote. “At the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, we are moving our accounts from Wells Fargo to another bank.”
Franklin Graham also announced that he will not be shopping at Tiffany & Co. after they started advertising wedding rings for gay couples.
Franklin Graham is president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization. He is Billy Graham’s son.
Earlier this year, Franklin Graham slammed Marvel comics for making one of the “X-Men” comic characters gay.
