Fire reported at recycling center in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Firefighters in High Point responded to a fire reported at Recycling Management Resources which temporarily blocked traffic on Saturday.

The High Point Fire Department responded to 2300 East Kivett Drive shortly after 11:30 a.m. About 45 firefighters were on the scene.

The fire was in the bales of paper, according to Fire Chief Thomas Reid. There is no word on any injuries.

East Kivett Drive in front of the building had been blocked off. Multiple agencies responded including the High Point police and fire departments and Guilford County EMS workers.
