ASHEVILLE, N.C. — A struggling North Carolina mother got the surprise of a lifetime when a stranger bought her a car.

WLOS reported that Connie Cole recently called Carolina Auto Sales in Black Mountain in desperate need of a car.

The mother had no way of realizing that a stranger overheard the conversation over the speakerphone.

After the conversation ended, the stranger told the car lot owner to call him if the mother comes back.

The stranger said he “heard something in her voice” and wanted to buy her the car. He said “the Lord” wanted him to do it.

The mother works at an Asheville sub shop. She said she will never forget him and that it “just means the Lord is out there.”
