Fugitive from Ohio charged with online sex crimes in Alamance County

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A fugitive from Ohio was charged with sending obscene materials to minors in Alamance County on Monday.

Caleb Andrew Greer, 21, of North Lawrence, Ohio was charged with eight counts of disseminating obscene material to a minor.

Greer was first arrested as a fugitive in Ohio and then traveled to North Carolina on Monday.

On Dec. 10, 2014 deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office first received a complaint about a person allegedly using computers to disseminate obscene material to minors.

After an investigation deputies issued a warrant for Greer’s arrest.

Greer is currently in the Alamance County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.

His first court date is set for June 2 at 2 p.m. at the Alamance County District Court in Graham.
