NC father that lost son in fireworks tragedy has message for lawmakers in Iowa
DES MOINES, Iowa — A North Carolina family traveled to Iowa to urge lawmakers to vote against a new bill that would allow more legal fireworks.
KCRG reported that Jack Shannon and his family made the trip earlier this week to convince lawmakers to vote against the bill.

The bill would make more than a dozen consumer grade fireworks legal. Shannon described the fireworks in question as “explosives.”
