High Point man accused of ramming wife’s car, running her over

Eugene Golden Sr., 61, of High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A High Point man is accused of running his wife over with a car in a domestic dispute, causing her to be injured.

The Greensboro News & Record reported that 61-year-old Eugene Golden Sr. allegedly used his Lexus car to ram his wife’s vehicle several times at about 11 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the suspect then ran her over. When officers responded to the 100 block of Fraley Road, Golden was gone, according to Capt. Mike Kirk. Officers found him a short time later.

Paramedics took the suspect’s wife to High Point Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The suspect faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, assault on a female and leaving the scene of property damage.

Golden was jailed in Guilford County without bail. He had court on Friday.
