Explosive device planted and detonated in North Carolina man’s SUV

CARY, N.C. — Cary Police said an explosive device was planted in a car and detonated on Thursday afternoon. No one was hurt.

It happened on Glade Hill Drive near Middle Creek High School.

The man left his house on Moneta Lane in his blue Ford Explorer. He was about a mile from his house when a device exploded.

Police said they believe it was an isolated event and there is no immediate threat to the public.
