ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A Mebane man was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday and charged with multiple counts of indecent liberties with a minor.

Aaron James Nishikawa, 37, was already on the sex offender registry for a conviction in 2011.

Investigators discovered that Nishikawa was photographing and videotaping young females in several retail stores in Mebane without their knowledge or consent, according to a release.

Nishikawa was arrested after investigators discovered images and other evidence on his cell phone.

He is being held in the Alamance County Jail under a $200,000 secure bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for today, May 28.
