Crews respond to report of ambulance on fire in Davidson County

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Crews responded to an ambulance on fire in Davidson County.

Crews were dispatched to U.S. 52 South at Old U.S. 52.

The Wake Forest Baptist Health ambulance caught fire while responding to a wreck, according to crews on the scene.

An oxygen tank set off several explosions but the fire was contained quickly.

No injuries were reported.

The Davidson County fire marshal is investigating.
