Thomasville man facing charges for alleged sex offenses involving child

LEXINGTON, N.C. — A man in Lexington is facing charges for alleged sex offenses involving a female child.

William Lewis Abbington Jr., 67, of Thomasville, is facing three counts of felony first-degree sex offense with a child and three counts of indecent liberties with a child.

According to the The-Dispatch, Abbington committed the acts between Oct. 15, 2014 and Jan. 3, 2015.

Abbington’s record shows he was convicted for a similar crime in 2011.

He’s being held in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
