Roller coaster at Carowinds makes list of ‘10 fastest coasters in the U.S.’

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The newly-opened “Fury 325” at Carowinds ranks No.4 on a recent list of the 10 fasted roller coasters in the U.S.

Fox News Travel recently published the list, looking at the fastest roller coasters in the country. The following was written about Fury 325:

The brand-new Fury 325 is the world’s tallest and fastest giga-coaster. Taller than the Statue of Liberty, this “hornet’s nest of rebellion” is 325-feet tall, goes 95 miles per hour and has a staggering length of 6,602 feet. That adds up to a ride time of 3 minutes and 25 seconds.

“Kingda Ka” at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. took the No. 1 spot at 128 mph.

It was followed by the “Top Thrill Dragster” at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio at 120 mph.

“Superman: Escape from Krypton” at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif. took No. 3 at 100 mph.
