NC man allegedly offered to reduce community service in exchange for sex
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. — A 64-year-old man in New Hanover County was arrested for allegedly offering women on probation reduced community service hours in exchange for sex, according to WECT.
Police began an investigation after they received several complaints about David Hartley, the commander of American Legion Post 10.
As commander of the post he supervises people on probation who are required to perform community service.
According to WECT the complaints said that Hartley repeatedly offered women on probation a reduced number of service hours in exchange for sex.
Hartley was arrested and charged with obtaining property by false pretense and obstruction of justice.
