Huge alligator captured on NC highway to be relocated

JONES COUNTY, N.C. — Officers from the NC Wildlife Resources Commission captured an 8-foot alligator that was making its way down the highway, according to WITN.

Deputies were called to Highway 17 near the Jones-Craven County line around 7 p.m. Monday to help wildlife officials locate an alligator.

Sherriff Danny Heath told WITN the gator was about 8 feet long.

Wildlife officials are still looking to relocate the gator.
