Two men shot near Greensboro motel, both taken to hospital with injuries
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police said one of the two men shot at the Studio 6 extended stay motel suffered life threatening injuries.
The unidentified victims have been taken to Moses Cone Hospital for their injuries, according to police.
Police were called to 2000 Veasley St. just after 7 p.m. Saturday on a call that was originally for two men fighting, according to the paper.
But when police arrived, they found the two victims, one shot in the arm, according to Lt. A.J. Barwick with the Greensboro Police Department.
The shooting happened on the north side of the building. The victim who was shot in the arm managed to run from that area and was found in the grass 300 yards to the south of the building, according to police.
A motive in the shooting has not been released. Neighbors said they heard at least five shots fired.
Police are looking for two men but did not immediately have descriptions of them. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can call police at (336) 373-1000.
