14-year-old shot in Winston-Salem dies from injuries

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The 14-year-old who was found shot in the head Monday morning has died from his injuries.

The shooting happened at an apartment located at 129 Charleston Court in Winston-Salem at 8:35 a.m. on Monday, according to Forsyth County EMS.

Investigators are still conducting interviews, trying to figure out where the gun came from and how it was stored.

They are also trying to determine whether the juvenile shot himself, and if he did, if it was accidental or intentional.

Police have not ruled out the possibility that someone else shot the teen.
