NC firefighter tells 911 he shot man who was following him

CONCORD, N.C. —The Cabarrus County District Attorney is reviewing a 911 call made after a Kannapolis firefighter shot and killed a man he said was following him.

Ryan Cochran told a dispatcher the man was following him after he and his girlfriend left a baseball game.

“This dude kept following us, pulled in front of my girlfriend’s house, I don’t know why he was following us really close driving erratic,” Cochran told 911. He said the driver, David Pitarelli, got out of his car and confronted them.Read more: WSOC
