RALEIGH, N.C. — Mothers love it when their kids’ dreams come true.

One North Carolina mom went gaga when her son told her he will be dancing alongside Taylor Swift in her upcoming 1989 world tour.

For Robert Green, landing a gig as one of Taylor Swift’s backup dancers was huge news, so naturally he called his mom first.

When Green told his mom she screamed for about 4 minutes.

“I can’t remember ever being that excited before,” said Sylvia Watlington-Green, the dancer’s mother.

Watlington-Green was driving in Raleigh when she got the news from Los Angeles.

“I said I’ve got to pull over cause I was getting too excited,” she said. “I was crying. I was laughing.”

When Green was studying dance, his mom used to drive him to conventions, sometimes sleeping in the car because they couldn’t always afford hotels.

“Even though he’s my son, he’s my soulmate,” Watlington-Green said.

Green said there’s no one closer to him than his mom.

Taylor Swift is known for being close to her mom as well and when she saw Green’s video, she tweeted it out.

Green will be one of the dancers leaping around Swift on her tour and his mom will no doubt be cheering him on.
