2 arrested on drug offenses in Burlington

James Rudolph Haith and Miriam Loretta Attaway

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Two people face drug charges following a search of a Burlington residence on Friday.

James Rudolph Haith, 64, is charged with trafficking heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell/deliver, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Miriam Loretta Attaway is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a drug offense.

On Friday, the Alamance County Narcotics Enforcement Team served a search warrant at 835 Day Street in Burlington.

Haith had been the subject of an investigation, the sheriff’s office said.

Haith was placed under a $200,000 secured bond. Attaway was placed under a $1,350 secured bond.
