CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A suspect in a wheelchair is accused of stealing food from a North Carolina family while the family was sleeping.

WCNC reported that the suspect was caught on surveillance video stealing about $200 worth of food and drinks from the Charlotte home’s garage at about 3 a.m.

“One of our neighbors just this past week had 2 incidents where their house, their garage, had been broken into and stuff had been stolen,” resident Kelly Hughes told the TV station. “We decided to check the video footage to see if we had captured the perpetrator.”

The victims told police the same thing also happened two nights earlier. Neighbors said they have an idea of who the suspect may be, but the video food does not clearly show the suspect’s face.
