Student from West Davidson High School killed in motorcycle accident

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A student from West Davidson High School was killed in an accident involving an SUV on Wednesday afternoon, according to Davidson County Schools.

School officials released a statement saying Houston Harrison was killed in the wreck.

“The teachers and students are very much saddened by the news. Our focus is on supporting the family, students and staff members of West Davidson High School,” officials said in the release.

Counseling and support will be available for staff and students at the school today.

“We are asking our school community for their thoughts and devotions for the family involved in this tragic accident and for all of the students and staff at West Davidson High School,” the statement said.

The wreck happened at Greensboro Street Extension and Hill Everhart Road at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Harrison was pronounce dead the scene.
