HIGH POINT, N.C. -- We hear it all the time: one of the Piedmont's biggest challenges is jobs. We need to put more people back to work. But we also hear a lot of companies out there saying, "Hey, we've got the jobs, there just aren't enough skilled, qualified workers for us to hire." So, how do you go about closing the gap?

Karl Robinson is very much involved in this goal. 25 years ago, he started a trucking company in Greensboro with his dad's pickup truck and a $3,000 loan from his parents. Today, he's president of R & R Trucking and recently attended a White House summit on "upskilling" the workforce.
