Man accused of ordering NC couple’s killings expected to enter plea

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —The man accused of ordering the murders of a Lake Wylie couple is expected to enter a plea Wednesday.

Jamell Cureton will be arraigned in federal court and he’s asking the judge to drop the case.

Last week, Cureton wrote a four-page letter claiming investigators violated several constitutional rights when they raided his jail cell in January. He said they seized letters clearly addressed to his attorney, violating attorney-client privilege.
