YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — A Jonesville man faces a child abuse charge after his child was found to have a skull fracture.

Bradley Scott Kennedy, 36, of Jonesville, is charged with felony negligent child abuse – serious bodily injury and felony killing an animal by starvation.

On March 7, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report in reference to possible child abuse.

The 2-month-old child was seen at medical facilities and it was determined that the infant had sustained a skull fracture, the sheriff’s office said.

During the investigation, detectives discovered other pending criminal charges associated with Kennedy.

On Saturday, Kennedy was arrested on the child abuse charge and was also charged with starving an animal.

After posting a $150,000 secured bond, Kennedy was released. He is scheduled to appear in court May 19.
