Eden man charged with first-degree rape

EDEN, N.C. — A man in Eden was arrested Wednesday morning on a first-degree rape charge.

Dennis James Loye, 29, of 641 Rob Tom Road, was arrested after an incident that happened overnight.

Police have not released any information on the victim.

Loye was placed in the Rockingham County Jail under a “domestic hold” and is scheduled to appear in court on May 19.
