APEX, N.C. — A North Carolina family appeared on “Ellen” earlier this week after a video went viral of the mother learning she’s finally having a baby girl.

The News & Observer reported that Stephen and Cher Lair of Apex appeared on the show on Thursday.

In the viral video, Cher Lair, a mother of six boys, fell to the floor during her recent gender reveal party after learning she will finally be having a girl. The video currently has nearly 7 million views.

The mother previously told WTVD she had given up on having a daughter.

“Initially, on baby three and four I’m thinking, ‘They’ll be a girl at some point. They can’t all be boys.’ But after four and five and six, you’re kind of thinking, ‘Yeah, they can,’” she told WTVD.

Stacy Fagerquist was recording when Lair cut the cake, revealing she will finally be having a girl.

“Are they kidding? Is this a joke?” she said.

Lair’s 5-year-old son, Houston, was not quite as excited as his mom.

“I ran out the door,” he told WTVD. “I’m sick of girls.”

Lair will welcome her first daughter in August.
