CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four people were shot and injured at a North Carolina birthday party with several children in the home at the time, according to WSOC.

Police said it happened Saturday morning in Charlotte. The victims have been treated at a hospital and are expected to recover, according to police.

Police have not released a motive in the shooting. One neighbor said he heard some “arguing” and “fussing” at about 6 a.m. right before about 10 gunshots.

The party had reportedly been going on since Friday night. Police spent hours on Saturday searching for clues, according to WSOC. The investigation is ongoing.
