CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three people in a car were injured after the car got pinned underneath a school bus in Charlotte on Friday morning.

WSOC reported that the car and school bus collided and that a person in the car was briefly trapped before firefighters were able to free them.

An adult in the car was injured with potentially life-threatening injuries, while two children in the car had minor injuries, according to police.

Police said the car and school bus collided, but did not say how it happened.

None of the six students on the bus were injured, according to police. Traffic was shut down for nearly an hour as crews worked to remove the car from under the bus, according to WSOC.
