Oldest house in NC to open to public for first time this weekend

CHOWAN COUNTY, N.C. — The oldest house in North Carolina will open to the public for the first time this weekend, according to Triad Business Journal.

The paper reported that the attraction was built circa 1719 in Chowan County and is the oldest house in the state.

It’s one of several home that’s available for viewing as part of Edenton’s 2015 Pilgrimage of Historic Homes and Gardens April 17-18, according to the Business Journal.

Tour tickets are $25 and student tickets are $10.
