Alleged drug dealer arrested after accidentally sending text to undercover officer in NC
ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. — An alleged drug dealer in North Carolina was arrested after authorities said he accidentally sent a text message to an undercover narcotics officer.
WECT reported that Brendon Ward, 23, of Elizabethtown, thought he was sending a message to somebody wanting drugs, but accidentally sent it to an undercover officer.
The officer arranged to meet the suspect at a parking lot and the suspect escaped, but turned himself in earlier this week, according to the TV station.
He faces charges of selling marijuana, resist/delay/obstruct an officer and felony flee to elude arrest and was jailed under a $3,000 bond.
