Winston-Salem man arrested following argument with mom, damage to property

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A man was arrested Saturday following a domestic disturbance in northern Davidson County just outside the Winston-Salem city limits.

Charles Dewayne Brewster Jr., 23, of Winston-Salem, is charged with communicating threats, property damage and being drunk and disruptive.

Davidson County sheriff’s deputies responded to Hickory Tree Road and Farmbrook Lane after they received a report of domestic disturbance involving a mother and her son. A passerby’s vehicle had been damaged in the incident.

Deputies located Brewster at a nearby convenience store and he was arrested.

Brewster was confined under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 8.
