WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are looking for three suspects accused of robbing two men at gunpoint at a Winston-Salem apartment.

Police said it happened at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday at a residence at Sugar Creek Apartments at 3954 Sugarcreek Drive.

The victims said they were at their home when someone knocked on the door. They looked through the peephole and saw it was covered, according to police.

Police said the victims thought it was their friends and opened the door. The suspects then allegedly came inside and demanded money.

Two of the suspects had their faces at least partially covered and one was allegedly carrying a shotgun, according to police. They allegedly threatened the victims and demanded money.

Police said the suspects took several items and struck both victims with the end of the gun. The victims had minor injuries.

Police said the suspects took off in a dark, older model, Chevrolet Impala.
