YADKINVILLE, N.C. — A Yadkinville man is accused of having a sexual relationship with his brother’s stepdaughter.

Marshall Jarrid Freeman, 32, of Yadkinville, was arrested on Monday and charged with five counts of felony statutory rape of a minor.

In late January this year, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Yadkin County Department of Health and Human Services regarding the victim having a sexual relationship with her stepfather’s brother.

The victim provided a statement about the relationship to her therapists, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office said the relationship started in the fall of 2012.

Freeman was given a $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court March 25.
