GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Highway Patrol and emergency crews responded to an accident on Interstate 85 in Guilford County Tuesday evening.
The accident happened at about 7:10 p.m. on northbound I-85 near Groometown Road and Exit 120 A.
Authorities on the scene said this was a single-vehicle accident. A male victim operating the vehicle hit a pole.
Emergency crews had to cut the roof off the vehicle and pull the man out.
It is unclear the extent of the man’s injuries.
The accident closed the right two lanes of northbound I-85 for nearly two hours. According to NCDOT, all lanes have reopened.
