UNCG Chancellor Linda Brady recovering from heart surgery

GREENSBORO, N.C. — UNC-Greensboro Chancellor Linda Brady underwent heart surgery today and is expected to “be out on leave for a period of time,” according to an email sent to students and faculty this afternoon.

Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Dana Dunn will be filling in for her.

Brady, 66, has been chancellor since 2008 and is set to retire on July 31.

She had previously held administrative positions at Georgia Tech, N.C. State and the University of Oregon.
