CHICAGO -- In December of 2014 a single mother of four recorded herself singing a Whitney Houston song to her little girl. She posted the video to YouTube and it went viral.

Now more than 2 million people have heard her sing her baby to sleep.

She auditioned for "American Idol" three times but never made it.

“They have good things to say. They just said, ‘You have a really unique voice, we think you’re good, but it’s just not your time yet,'” she told WGN. “So I’m guessing maybe now it’s my time.”

She just released a new single called "Tiny Hearts" and four different record companies are trying to sign her.
