HIGH POINT, N.C. -- In honor of National Pancake Day, IHOP is giving away stacks of flapjacks to celebrate.

The restaurant chain is asking customers to donate to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, or other charities, in exchange for a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.

IHOP has raised nearly $16 million since it began giving away pancakes nine years ago. The company hopes to raise $3.5 million this year for charities.
