Man held under $1 million bond for multiple drug and weapon violations in Yadkin County

YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for multiple drug and weapon violations last Thursday.

Marlon Cortez Ross, 42 of Jonesville was charged with multiple felony counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and felony drug possession on Feb. 26.

Police seized 20 firearms along with ammunition, 69 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, Oxycodone, Diazepam, more than $1,100 and a bullet proof vest from two different homes during the investigation.

Ross is being held in the the Yadkin County Detention Center under a $1 million secure bond.

His next court date is scheduled for March 4.

Ross was recently in the Yadkin County Superior Court where he pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He already received 36 months of probation for that charge.
