GREAT FALLS, S.C. — A Great Falls man was released from jail Monday after being charged with a disturbing crime.
Cory Smith, 27, deliberately stomped a puppy to death outside his girlfriend’s home on Chester Avenue, police said.
Smith went over to the house to see his children after telling his girlfriend he’d been in a fight, according to police records.
During the visit, they argued and the girlfriend claims Smith assaulted her, though police did not charge him with domestic violence or assault.
