Car goes off highway and hits exit sign in Greensboro; may have hit slick spot

GREENSBORO, N.C. — At least one person was taken to the hospital after a car left the roadway and hit an exit sign in Greensboro on Sunday.

Police said the single-vehicle crash was reported on Hwy 220 near the I-85 bypass at about 12:30 p.m. Police said two people were inside the car.

At least one of them was taken Moses Cone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police. Names have not been released.

An officer on the scene said they may have hit a slick spot on the highway, but it is still under investigation. Traffic was not impacted.
