Two killed, five injured in Randolph County wreck

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Two people were killed and five injured in a three-vehicle wreck Saturday night in Randolph County, according to dispatch.

The identities of the victims have not been released. Authorities said it happened at 8:37 p.m. on U.S. 64 West near Back Creek Terrace.

One of the injured victims was said to be in critical condition. He was reportedly airlifted after the wreck.

The highway had been blocked from Sawyersville Road to Lowe Country Road, according to the Asheboro Courier-Tribune.
