BOONE, N.C. — A man and woman are accused of breaking into a sex toy shop in Boone nearly two weeks ago and stealing money.

Jacob Thomas Goode and Savannah Bree Padgett, both 22, are charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony safecracking and felony conspiracy to commit larceny after breaking and entering.

Boone police responded to an alarm Feb. 15 at Night Secrets in the 1100 block of Blowing Rock Road. Police said the business had been broken into and an undisclosed amount of money had been taken.

Investigators used a surveillance video to identify two suspects. One was described as a large person wearing gloves and Guy Fawkes mask, police said. The investigation led officers to Statesville, where investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Joe Road. Police said investigators found the mask worn by a suspect nearby in a creek.

The suspects were both jailed under $15,000 bonds and both have court planned in April. Police said the female suspect is a former employee of the business.
